Rotterdam has a good name for producing music in all different styles. On the Nieuwe Binnenweg in the heart of Rotterdam there are 10 recordstores located which sell all sorts of vinyl and cd's. The styles these shops sell varies from rare collectors items to underground minimal techno. Basic Beat is also located on this street and has been an upfront recordshop since 1992.
Our store specializes in all styles that are related to dancemusic: club, progressive, trance, techhouse and techno are our main catagories.Since times are changing, we opened our online recordstore early 2004 next to our normal store. To give it just that special touch to attract attention between all existing recordshops, we've given our webshop a special 'Dutch' feel. All available releases (old and new) from some prominent Dutch labels such as Blackhole, In Trance We Trust, State Of Trance, Armind, ID&T, Tsunami, Cyber, Fundamental, Work, Fresh Fruit, Nutrition, Clone and many others, are available at the Basic Beat online recordshop. For these labels there's a seperate section on the webshop called 'represented labels'.
Next to this, you can also buy all Basic Beat releases which are still available. For example: the well-known CD-series such as Forbidden Paradise and Lost Treasures are all back in stock as we speak!
Since Tiesto started his carreer at Basic Beat, and now represents Blackhole / Magik Muzik, it's pretty safe to say that we've got all available Tiesto releases on stock.
Please note that we do not sell used items, all items at our recordstore are brand new. Even all the records in our big house-classics catalogue are absolutely brand new!
